Quality
Our work’s high quality is guaranteed by an operating system that has been certified by Dekra Oy. The operations manual that guides our business activities is based on the following standards:
- Quality Management (ISO 9001)
- Quality Management for Fusion Welding of Metallic Materials (comprehensive quality requirements) (ISO 3834-2)
- Occupational Health and Safety (ISO 45001)
- Factory Production Control (EN 1090-1)
Ensuring quality starts during the tendering phase, when we check the requirements involved in the project. This high-quality process continues from there all the way to project delivery and documentation.
Welding quality management
Welding quality management is based on self-monitoring and procedure tests. PTP is able to perform nearly 40 different procedure tests for different steels and titanium, as well as for various welding processes. In addition to ones used to test basic materials, we are able to perform procedure tests for several special-purpose steels. The specifications for welding procedures made based on the procedure tests cover most steels used for industrial purposes, but whenever necessary, we are able to perform new procedure tests in collaboration with the customer.
All our welders hold ISO 9606-1 standard qualifications for various welding methods and filler material groupings related to the welding of pressure equipment piping. In addition, the welders are regularly offered further training. They receive qualifications on FM1-3/4 and FM5 filler material groupings, so their expertise covers all steel alloys used for piping.
At Porin Teollisuusputki, the quality and coordination of welding work is ensured by an international welding engineer (IWE), an international welding inspector (IWI) and an international welding specialist (IWS). We also offer expert welding services for more demanding projects such as repair welds.
